Where are we?
We are based in a small village called Aughton, just outside of Ormskirk in West Lancashire
Ormskirk town centre is just a short bus or taxi ride from Aughton Park and has a traditional outdoor market twice a week, as well as a lovely array of shops and café bars.
Activities, trips and events
Aughton Park has one activities Coordinator on-site five days per week, she provides a weekly planner to all residents in Aughton Park.
Activities in the home include entertainers, quizzes, baking, bingo, flower arranging, sensory activities, art sessions.
We have themed events taking place throughout the year and like families and friends to be actively involved in what’s going on in Aughton Park.
Award-winning music therapy
Erin Fothersgill - Aughton Park’s music therapist:
"I work with residents in individual and group music therapy sessions. I provide individual sessions for those with a diagnosis of dementia to help lessen the neuropsychiatric symptoms of dementia such as agitation, depression, and anxiety.
"I use music as a tool to aid in the retention of cognitive skills like memory and attention. I also provide group sessions to help all residents in the home be involved in active participation in musical and therapeutic activities such as singing, talking and playing instruments together."

Chaplaincy and pastoral support
Inita Mazlevska - Aughton Park Care Home Chaplain:
"We truly care for a person’s mind, body and spirit; both of our residents and their families. Inita is there available for residents, families, and staff to give support, talk about emotionally difficult or challenging themes, and build a relationship." She also provides regular weekly worship, discussion group and leases with local churches and other religious institutions.

There’s a wide range of social events, so you never need to feel bored or lonely.
Meal times are a special part of the day for you to savour tasty food, freshly cooked by our chef to suit you and any dietary needs. And, of course, refreshments are available throughout the day for you and your visitors, who are welcome at any time.
Aughton Park has the latest safety and security design features so you can live life to the full with peace of mind.
Each room at Aughton Park is fitted with a Single bed, Double Wardrobe, Chest of drawers and bedside cabinet, we encourage all our residents to personalise their room if they wish to do so.
All rooms are en suite and comfortably furnished and we have free wifi throughout the home.
