Who are MHA and what do you do? 

We are a national charity that enables people to live later life well. Across our 89 specialist care homes, 70 retirement living sites and 62 community groups, we put people at the heart of everything we do and look after over 18,000 older people up and down the country.

What kinds of jobs are available? 

We have a variety of positions available with different levels of commitment. We are looking for care workers, nurses, chefs, domestics, cleaners, maintenance, office workers and more.

I’ve not got a background in care. Do I need experience in the care sector to be considered? 

No - it depends on what role you are applying for. We know there are a lot of people at this time coming from industries such as hospitality, entertainment, retail and others which have broad and extensive experience and skills which can be transferred into roles we have available at MHA. We need you!

Your knowledge and experience in previous roles will provide us with the valuable skills we need now more than ever. Check out the person specification and job description of the role you’re interested in and see if your skills match these.

I’m a retired nurse/care worker and want to come back into the sector. Can I help? 

Yes! We have a range of care specific roles with which we would value your knowledge, skills and expertise as we support people in later life through the Covid-19 pandemic. Please visit our list of vacancies near you to see how you can get involved.

How do I see your list of vacancies? 

Easy – visit our current job vacancies list and input your location and other requirements. All roles which match your search terms will be listed. You can then click on each one to get more information and a job description.

How do I apply? 

Once you have found the vacancy that is right for you from our current job vacancies list, click the apply button at the bottom of the job advert. From here, you will be asked to register on our application system. All you’ll need to do to apply is submit some personal details and a CV.
