What makes us special?
Where are we?
We are located in Mobberley, midway between Wilmslow and Knutsford in Cheshire. We are situated in a beautiful location with lovely views. Our lounge backs on to a beautiful bowling green and we’re surrounded by fields. The town centre is approximately 3 miles from us.
Explore new interests
We have a schedule of optional events and activities, helping residents to explore their interests and discover new ones. There’s a knit and natter club, armchair exercises, gardening, baking, flower arranging, arts and crafts, bingo, quizzes, bible studies and church services.
We also have a dedicated chaplain and offer music therapy for our residents living with dementia. We have our own minibus for trips to the canal, the farm, the garden centre, or for a drink at the local pub. Whether it’s celebrating national cheese day or visits from miniature ponies and owls, there’s never a dull moment at The Willows.
Award-winning music therapy
We are committed to providing alternative therapies such as music therapy to help alleviate isolation and the symptoms for those living with dementia.
Our trained therapist is funded by charitable donations. They interact directly with residents through live music therapy sessions. This includes singing, playing simple percussion instruments or responding to musical cues in a one-to-one or group setting. Take a look at our video to find out more about this life-changing therapy.
Chaplaincy and pastoral support
We are proud to be supported by a dedicated Chaplain who offers pastoral support to all, whatever their beliefs. The chaplain provides a listening presence, companionship and one-to-one pastoral support for all residents, their friends and relatives, and staff members - irrespective of their beliefs - and organise worship for those who wish to participate. Where appropriate, residents are encouraged to maintain links with local faith communities.
Seize the day - unique and memorable opportunities
Funded through charitable support, every MHA care home also prides itself in being able to offer unique and memorable opportunities and activities for residents to quite literally help them 'seize the day'.
The Willows offers care and comfort, compassion and friendship. At the heart of all we offer is our assurance that you will be treated with the respect and dignity that we all deserve, and if you need anything at all, we’re here to help, 24 hours a day.
Whether in the privacy of your own room or relaxing in the company of your friends and neighbours, we will support you to spend your time doing the things you enjoy. Let us know if it’s music, a favourite newspaper, exercise or a spot of pampering at the salon. Landscaped gardens invite you to appreciate the fresh air, or tend the plants, if you wish. There’s a wide range of social events, so you never need to feel bored or lonely.
The Willows has the latest safety and security design features so you can live life to the full with peace of mind.
"We cannot find adequate words to express our complete satisfaction at the standard of care my wife received from the nurses and the wonderful carers, they were all 'little angels on earth'." Independent relative review, carehome.co.uk
We encourage our residents to furnish their own rooms as they wish. This could be as simple as hanging a couple of their favourite pictures on the wall, but they’re also welcome to bring their own comfy chair, or anything that makes them feel at home. The most important thing is for everyone to feel comfortable, happy and settled.
We have a mix of single and double rooms, including some with a full en suite wet room and others with an en suite toilet and sink. Some rooms also enjoy lovely garden views, and there’s WiFi throughout the home.
We provide round the clock specialist nursing care for those with medical needs, whether that’s a long-term illness or disability. Medical and other forms of specialist support are delivered with friendly expertise by our highly skilled team of nursing professionals.
As you’d expect from our wonderfully compassionate team, nursing care is wholly person-centred to meet the requirements of each individual with respect and dignity at all times.
We’re proud to be recognised for our pioneering approach to dementia care, which is carefully built around each individual. Our dementia facilities here are second to none, and specially designed to provide a reassuringly familiar, engaging and warm environment for those living with us. We have dementia friendly decor and our dementia areas open into a secure and peaceful garden.
Residents enjoy music therapy and reminiscence activities, including doll therapy, designed to stimulate social interaction and alleviate the feeling of isolation associated with dementia.
Residents living with dementia who require nursing care, benefit from our 24-hour specialist nursing care, delivered with an expert sensitivity to the symptoms of dementia.
Mealtimes are an important part of the day here, giving our residents the opportunity to get together and enjoy freshly prepared food in a relaxed restaurant-style environment. We always offer two meal options and our chefs will happily prepare something special if nothing on the menu appeals.
Our highly-trained, dedicated members of staff will always be on hand to provide your care and support in the way that best suits you, in the comfort of your own room with en suite facilities.
We choose the people who work with us very carefully. They need to share our values and respect people, their life experience and personal choices.
We take pride in the cleanliness and maintenance of your home and provide a thorough and friendly cleaning service. Your personal washing will be carefully laundered and returned to you, clean and fresh.
We also provide regular gentle exercise sessions and have close links with GP surgeries, district nurses and dentists. We have weekly physiotherapy sessions and our in-house hair salon keeps everyone looking their best.
Our team are happy to help you when you are ready to discuss the care and support that you, or your loved one may need. You can call us directly, arrange a tour of our home or submit an enquiry and we’ll contact you.
