MHA The Homestead raises £1200 from summer fete

MHA The Homestead has raised £1200 for residents following a very successful summer fete.

The home organised the open community event, raising funds for the home with a packed day of activities.  

More than 200 people came throughout the day, which included a mix of young, old and families.

There was a bar, ice cream van as well as tombola and a raffle to keep everyone in good spirits.

Pawel Wisniowski, home manager said: “Everyone was very happy with how the day turned out and it was so nice to see people coming out and supporting the home.

“We didn't expect to raise as much money as we did, the weather wasn't the best and I did think that might put people off but thankfully it didn't.

“This was the first time since the pandemic we organised something like this, but I am confident it won't be the last.

“It was great to see the community coming out and having a good time. I would like to especially thank the Rotary Club of Witney who supported us immensely.

“For now, it's up to the residents to see what they want to do with the money we have and I am sure they will enjoy whatever it is they do.”
