Award-winning music therapy
Harwood Court is committed to providing alternative therapies such as music therapy to help alleviate isolation and the symptoms for those living with dementia. Our specially trained music therapist interacts directly with residents through live music therapy sessions which include singing, playing simple percussion instruments or responding to musical cues in a one-to-one or group setting. All of our music therapy is funded by charitable donations. Take a look at our video to find out more about this life-changing therapy.
Chaplaincy and pastoral support
Our dedicated Chaplain provides pastoral support to all, whatever their beliefs. Through regular visits to Harwood Court, our Chaplain provides a listening presence, companionship and one-to-one pastoral support for all residents, their friends and relatives. We also organise worship for those that wish to participate. Where appropriate, we encourage residents to maintain links with local faith communities.
Seize the day experiences
Funded through charitable support, every MHA care home also prides itself in being able to offer unique and memorable opportunities and activities for residents to help them 'seize the day'.
