MHA homes across the country have been named in the top 20 recommended care homes in their regions by users of the website carehome.co.uk

Twelve care homes have received the accolade, which is based on reviews submitted to the website by residents, families and friends. These reviews form an overall score out of ten.

In one region – the West Midlands – MHA’s homes make up a quarter of those in the top 20, with both Abbey Park and Briar Hill House making the list for the second year running.

The care homes in the top 20 recommended by region for MHA are:

  • London – Kenbrook in Wembley and Willesden Court in Willesden
  • East Midlands – Maple Leaf House in Ripley, Derbyshire
  • South West – Fitzwarren House in Swindon
  • West Midlands – Abbey Park in Coventry, Briar Hill House at Rugeley, Cedar Lawn in Stratford upon Avon and Claybourne at Chell, Stoke on Trent
  • Yorkshire and Humber – Willersley House at Willerby, Hull
  • North West – Belvedere Manor at Colne, Lancashire, and Heather Grange in Burnley

MHA’s Director of Care Homes Carol Artis said: “Here at MHA we continuously strive to make sure our homes are the best they can be for our residents. The inclusion of the homes in the top 20 recommended listings is testament to the hard work and dedication of all staff and volunteers.

“The scoring of each home is based on independent reviews by people who often see and experience the care we offer every day to their relative or friend, so they are important to us and give us great feedback about how we are doing.”
