A staff member at MHA Aigburth was recognised for her 20 years’ service.

Pinder Bains started working at the Oadby home in 2004 and spent the first five years of her career as a carer before moving into working as a kitchen assistant.

The home provides residential and residential dementia care for 56 residents.

She was treated to some flowers and chocolates as well as a certificate to mark the occasion.

Pinder says there have been “ups and downs” during her time but the feedback she receives form family members of residents is what makes it worthwhile.

She added: “20 years have gone by so quickly and I thoroughly enjoy working at MHA Aigburth.

“There have been plenty of ups and downs, managers moving on, the building changing and staff members coming and going but the love at MHA Aigburth is something that has kept me going.

“Everyone is really nice and full of love and there is a lot of help and support available

“I also want to mention that the support I received from our head office was very special.

“When the manager, Salome, told me to come into the office I was surprised and even said to her, what have I done now!.

“The surprise was completely unexpected and I want to thank everyone at the home.

“I do think this will be my last job, I can't see myself working elsewhere.”
