MHA Kenbrook has appointed a new manager and it's a familiar face for everyone at the home.

Sarah Law has been appointed home manager after the previous home manager retired earlier this year.

Sarah was previously deputy home manager for five years after joining the home in 2017 and has more than 30 years’ experience of working in the care sector.

The home provides 24-hour specialist nursing and dementia care for up to 51 older people.

Progressing into the role as home manager was a “smooth operation” for Sarah, who says she was encouraged by her predecessor to go for it.

She added: “I am very happy to become home manager of MHA Kenbrook and feel very proud of the achievement.

“I joined the home five years ago and really enjoy working here.

“I knew Marian, the former home manager was retiring so it was something that I was thinking about, and I must mention Marian's support who always encouraged me to go for it.

“It was a smooth operation, having been here for more than five years, I know the home well and it's a great place to work, with a good support network to help.

“When I joined, I took a bit of a chance and thought I'd give it a go, but I fell in love with the place and I am so happy I decided to join when I did.

“Moving forward as home manager I want to build on the good and put my own mark on the place.

“I have had some good meetings with staff to ensure they have my full support.

“I want to use our resources to improve our CQC rating from good to outstanding, and I am confident with the team I have that this will be something we can achieve.”
