Combined service of more than 15 years for two staff members celebrated at MHA The Meadow
MHA The Meadow celebrated the services of two staff members with a combined term of more than 15 years.
Delia Newby and Lydia Cwofie work at MHA The Meadow and were awarded for their services.
They were presented with a certificate of achievement by the management staff.
Delia was given a 5-year service award, however she has been working at the home since 1999 but had to leave and come back on two occasions for personal reasons.
Lydia works as a senior carer and has been at the Muswell Hill home for 10 years.
Delia says she should have retired two years ago but decided to carry on due to such a great work atmosphere.
She added: “I love working at MHA The Meadow.
“The staff and residents are great, and you do get a lot of support.
“I work as a domestic assistant but help out wherever I can, and I still have plenty of life in me, but this will be my last job.”
Lydia added: “The home is a 10-minute drive from where I live, and I really enjoy working here.
“Listening to the residents' stories and hearing how interesting their lives were is good.
“It's been a great experience so far, the team spirit and support system are great and I would definitely like to be here for another 10 years at least.”
