A care assistant at MHA Bradbury Grange is set to swim 100 lengths to raise funds for her place of work.

Sian Gibson works at the Whitstable hone and will be swimming 100 lengths to raise funds for the homes amenities fund.

Sian loves swimming and was looking for a way to get back into fitness and therefore decided to take on the challenge.

The challenge is set to take place at Whitstable Swimming Pool at Tower Parade on 28th September.

A JustGiving page has been set up, with Sian hoping to raise £500.

The home offers tailored residential and residential dementia care for 50 residents.

The mother of four said: “This is something I have wanted to do for a while, but never knew how to go about it.

“I love my job and the residents are like my family, so I wanted to do something for them.

“Since the pandemic things have been tough and we are getting back into the swing of things.

“The money raised will go towards arranging trips and activities for the residents.

“I am looking forward to the challenge and hope to raise as much money as possible.”
