As an MHA ambassador, you will:

An MHA charity ambassador is a volunteer who represents MHA at various events and occasions, such as church services, fairs, festivals, and conferences. An MHA ambassador helps to raise awareness, funds, and support for MHA’s work with older people.
By becoming an MHA ambassador, you can help MHA to reach more older people in need of its services. You can also enrich your own life with new experiences and friendships. You will also gain valuable skills and knowledge that can enhance your personal and professional development.
As an MHA charity ambassador, you will be helping to raise awareness of the work of MHA within your local community. By spreading the word of MHA, you’ll inspire, educate and encourage people to get involved.
You’ll deliver presentations, attend events, and talk about MHA services available locally. You’ll actively seek these opportunities and encourage and inspire others to get involved in fundraising and volunteering for MHA.
MHA charity ambassadors reach out to new people and inspire additional interest in MHA activities and services. This will raise the profile and ensure people in later life in your communities are aware of the local services available to support them.
Community support is vital for MHA and as an ambassador you will inspire more people to donate their time and/or money to help enhance later life for our members and residents.
You can apply online by filling out a short application form. You will also need to complete a DBS check and attend an induction training session before you start your role. Our Volunteering Team will guide you through the application prcoess and be on-hand to answer any questions you may have.
The time commitment varies depending on the needs of your local area and your availability. Generally, MHA asks for a minimum of one hour per month for at least one year.
You will receive ongoing support and guidance from a regional fundraiser who will match you with your local area, monitor your progress, and provide feedback. You will also have access to online resources, training opportunities, and peer support from other volunteers.
