Whether you’re a keen runner or want to raise some funds by taking a steady walk, join #teamMHA at the Great North Run.
This half marathon is the biggest in the world, raising incredible amounts for charity each year, thanks to the enthusiastic fundraisers who are quick to sport their running shoes.
By choosing to run or walk for MHA, you will receive:
To take part, we ask that you pay a £30 registration fee and raise a minimum of £350 in sponsorship. The best part of this is that you can choose if the money goes to a local MHA service or centrally to MHA to support older people across the country to live later life well.

MHA has 25 places for the Great North Run, which takes place on Sunday 8 September 2024 in Newcastle upon Tyne. We will provide running vests and sponsorship forms.

Every penny you raise helps MHA and its mission to help those in later life live well.
£25 could enable us to assess and match a volunteer befriender with a socially isolated older person, giving them access to weekly telephone calls and support
£30 could enable us to host a live virtual dance class for the most isolated in the community
£100 could allow us to create custom animations to enhance and train an older person with their digital skills
