A resident at MHA Stones Place celebrated her 101st birthday and family say she is in such great health that they are already planning her next birthday.

Kathleen Marsh lives at the Lincoln home and celebrated her birthday with a traditional Sunday lunch with her close family.

One of the dining rooms at the home which provides residential care for our 42 residents was set up for Kathleen and her family.

She received a bouquet of roses, her favourite from the home and a cake was prepared by the chef.

The highlight of the day however was the telegram she received from King Charles III

Stacey Allen, activity coordinator said: “Kathleen is generally a quiet person, but if you start having a chat with her she is very talkative.

“She was aware it was her birthday and was very happy with what had been arranged for her.

“Her two sons, their wives and grandchildren were here to celebrate the day with her, and she was really pleased to see them.

“The family had bought some cupcakes in the shape of roses which looked amazing.

“Kathleen told us she had a lovely time, and she really liked the flowers we got for her.

“Her family were telling us she doesn't look like she is 101 and because of how healthy she is the family are already planning her next birthday.

“Everyone had a great time, and the day was a very enjoyable experience for Kathleen and her family.”
