We each value our privacy and independence but, at the same time, are glad to receive the care and support that can come with being part of a community.
In every MHA home you can be assured of the privacy that comes with having your own front door and en suite facilities. Our teams of Domestic Assistants will also ensure that you don’t have to worry about cleaning and laundry chores.
At the same time, there is no reason why you can’t maintain links with the local community, or develop new friendships and relationships. We will help you do that, while also working hard to create a home that is itself full of opportunity and possibility. You will find relaxing spaces for meeting with other residents and will discover that mealtimes offer a positive dining experience, with high quality food prepared on site.
Care that becomes friendship
Our care always begins with your individual needs. We will respect your personal choices and all our staff – including your individual carer – will ensure that your requirements are met.
All our nursing is delivered by registered Nurses trained to provide specialist care, and we have developed a particular expertise in caring both for individuals living with dementia and also their families. Carers are trained to get to know and understand each person and their life history, and our buildings are imaginatively designed to support specific individual needs.
Supported by local volunteers, we make available a range of weekly activities and the chance to go on outings. Our Chaplains provide pastoral support whenever it is required, and worship services for those who wish to participate. Above all, because we value each individual for who they are and what they bring to our homes, we aim to offer you not just care, support and opportunity but friendship too.
