Scheme Information

Opened in 1990 by Susan Baird, the second female Lord Provost of Glasgow, Taransay Court is a community of apartments, two of the which were purpose-built for wheelchair users.  Just two miles north of the city centre, it was built at a cost in excess of £1.25m.

Taransay Court is on Liddlesdale Square in Milton, Glasgow.  The apartments are arranged on two levels with a lift and wheelchair access throughout. It is tastefully and comfortably decorated with carpeted corridors, a communal lounge with adjoining kitchen, laundry facilities, a small enclosed garden and car park.

There is a very active events committee, ensuring that residents have plenty to choose to do day by day.

The Manager noted the community's fine reputation in its area, It is known locally as "the house of kindness."
