Starr Hills Care Home

Residents at MHA’s ‘Outstanding’ Starr Hills Care Home in Lytham St Annes are now being offered computer lessons to help them get to grips with the latest technology.

The new lessons are part of the Home’s weekly activities, with knitting, crochet and sewing sessions also being introduced.  In addition, there is a full programme of entertainment planned for the rest of the year, including a trip to Lowther Pavilion, a pantomime, a carol service, a talk on the origins of Father Christmas and quizzes.

Manager Annette Williams said, “At MHA we place a strong emphasis on promoting the physical and spiritual wellbeing of our residents.  There is always a full programme of events and activities.  These are personalised to each individual to entertain them, stimulate them and have a positive impact upon their lives.  We are so grateful to the volunteers who help make these activities happen and form meaningful relationships with our residents.”

Starr Hills Care Home on Ansdell Road South, Ansdell is judged to be ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator of health and social care in England.
