Montpellier Manor

Montpellier Manor, a brand-new MHA care home on Strait Lane in Stainton, has celebrated the grand opening of the new facility.

The home is now ready to open its doors to 85 new residents, providing residential and dementia care to people in Stainton and the surrounding area.

Guests were given tours around the new state-of-the-art home which boasts a high-quality environment and communal atmosphere. They were also treated to coffee and home-made cakes throughout the day.

MHA’s new care home has created 80 new jobs for people in the local area, with experienced care professional Gail Starling appointed as the new home’s manager. She has 40 years of experience in the healthcare sector and in 2016 was voted Registered Manager of the Year – out of 350 homes. Gail and her team welcomed guests throughout the weekend.

Speaking on behalf of the Montpellier team, Gail said: “We were very excited to finally be opening our doors to potential new residents and local guests from the Stainton community. Our newly formed team of passionate and experienced individuals are thrilled to start welcoming our new residents, and the celebration seemed the perfect way to mark the occasion. Thanks to everyone who came down!”

As part of national charity MHA, Montpellier Manor is looking to recruit volunteers and a variety of roles.
