MHA has won the The Best Collaborative Partner Award from the British Gymnastics Foundation in recognition of our joint work on the ‘Love to Move’ programme.

Love to Move is a chair-based age and dementia-friendly gymnastics exercise programme, developed by the British Gymnastics Foundation in partnership with MHA. It has been specially designed to get older people moving and functioning better, and the programme has proved particularly beneficial for people living with dementia.

The British Gymnastic Foundation said “The Best Collaborative Partner Award recognises an outstanding contribution from a partner involved in the delivery of British Gymnastics Foundation projects.”

“They have acted as fantastic advocates of our Foundation’s Love to Move programme in the Care Sector and have worked tirelessly to help and encourage their staff through mentoring to get to their final assessments”.

MHA’s Dementia Lead, David Moore said “Over the past couple of years we have worked with the British Gymnastics Foundation to create a solid relationship which has enabled our MHA colleagues to become trained facilitators in Love to Move. We are very honoured to receive this award and look forward to working with the British Gymnastics Foundation over the coming years so that we can offer more residents and members the opportunity to be involved in this beneficial programme”.
