We are delighted that MHA has been named the Best Residential Care Provider in Laing & Buisson’s Independent Healthcare Awards 2012.

The accolade came after Laing & Buisson, the UK’s leading healthcare intelligence provider, had shortlisted MHA with just three other providers.

Inspired by Christian concern, MHA’s mission is to improve the lives of older people. Reasons cited for the award include MHA’s provision of a dedicated Chaplain in all residential settings, the introduction of music therapy for residents with dementia, and re-providing long-established services with brand new facilities to ensure the best possible environment for residents on an ongoing basis.

Laing & Buisson said that MHA showed “the important role that charitable providers have in the delivery of care services”.

Anna Marshall-Day, MHA’s Group Director – People and Corporate Affairs, said, “This is fantastic – to be recognised as the best residential care provider is such an accolade and so rewarding for all at MHA. We will continue to work hard to provide the best for older people.” Chief Executive of Laing & Buisson, William Laing, commented, “Wherever the future takes us, independent healthcare remains a sector that continues to deliver high quality, innovative healthcare solutions for patients and service users alike.”
