Generations join together at Abbey Park

Generations came together at Abbey Park in Coventry when children from the local Stoke Park Primary School came to visit residents in the home.

The youngsters joined Abbey Park residents for a day of activities and fun. It was a precursor to Care home Open Day on 19 June, when care homes all over the country will throw open their doors for special events to help forge links with their local communities.

Abbey Park Manager Tina Thompson said, “The children along with the residents made decorations for the open day, followed by lunch and finishing with the film Alice in Wonderland. On Care Home Open Day, we’ll be holding a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.”
