Hall Grange

Croydon people are being invited to enjoy free cheese and wine at an open afternoon at MHA’s Hall Grange Care Home on Saturday (24 March).

The Care Home on Shirley Church Road, Shirley will be open to the public from 2 to 5pm, with a makeover session, information about health, dementia support and other services plus the chance to speak to members of staff including the Activity Co-ordinator.  People will be able to find out about the Home’s new dementia wing including memory aids, sensory activities, memory boxes to prompt happy memories for each resident and colour-coded and tactile walls to help them find their way around.

Manager Abiodun Williams said, “The new wing is looking very contemporary and we’ve had great feedback from residents and their families.  It’s a beautiful home so we’re looking forward to showing visitors around.  When people come here, they are always moved by the atmosphere we have here and how caring it is.”

Hall Grange Care Home is judged to be ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator of health and social care in England.
