Compton people invited to meet Santa and his reindeer

Santa and two of his reindeer will be visiting a Christmas fair at MHA’s Engelberg Care Home on Ash Hill, Compton on Saturday 9 December.

Members of the public will be able to meet them between 10am and 12.30pm.  There will also be home-made jams and marmalades, tea and coffee, arts and crafts, a jewellery stall, a ‘name the teddy’ competition, a tombola and a raffle.  Entrance will be free.

The event is just part of the Home’s Christmas celebrations and year-round activities, which also include a carol service, outings and concerts. 

Manager Daniel Cash said, “We’re expecting the real reindeer to be very popular with our residents and local children.  I can definitely recommend the home-made jams and marmalades, straight from our kitchen.”

Engelberg Care Home is judged to be ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator of health and social care in England.
