As we draw towards the end of yet another year it's so rewarding to look back and reflect on just how much we've achieved.
Since becoming Chief Executive of MHA back in February, I have been proud and privileged to have witnessed some amazing moments of joy. These have been made possible by our dedicated staff and volunteers and thanks to the work of our many supporters.
Whether it’s through the outstanding person-centred care in our homes and schemes up and down the UK. Or offering opportunities to make sure later life is lived well thanks to our community Live at Home schemes. Or giving our residents living with dementia a moment in time to reconnect with their happiest memories through the power of music therapy.
They have touched the lives of so many older people living in our communities.
I am delighted to have played my part in MHA and help our charity to go from strength to strength in this our 75th year.
And this brings me onto our 2018 Christmas appeal where we’re raising essential funds to give the gift of music therapy to even more of our residents living with dementia.
I hope that you’ve had the opportunity to watch our heart-warming campaign video showing Joyce’s story and how the impact of our music therapist quite literally brought her into a joyful place.
As part of the appeal, we’re calling for donations to support this area of work and we’d be grateful for any support that you can offer.
And finally I cannot end this message without saying a huge thank you to all of you for your continuing support.
The commitment shown by our supporters to MHA, in terms of donations as well as your good will, has helped us to enhance the lives of many people.
We could not achieve these amazing results without you and I do hope you will continue to support our life-enhancing work in 2019 and beyond.
Merry Christmas!
