Castleoak, the leading developer and construction partner to the care sector, has completed two retirement living schemes for MHA as part of an £8.5 million contract.

The Maples, in Peterborough, offers 37 one and two bedroom high specification apartments for rent and 13 studio apartments. Fitzwarren Court (pictured) in Swindon, has 33 one and two bedroom luxurious retirement living apartments, and four studio apartments for extra care.

The new developments add to MHA’s portfolio and now mean that the organisation provides accommodation, support and care services to 16,000 older people across the UK in retirement living and care homes, along with its Live at Home schemes.

The developments have been thoughtfully designed to promote healthy living and wellbeing, with spaces for socialising and relaxing; state of the art leisure facilities include a hair and beauty salon, café, library and activity room. The schemes were conceived to create a caring, safe and secure environment for residents. Residents have the choice of a range of optional care and support packages tailored to their personal needs.

Karl Hallows, Development Director at MHA, comments: “These assisted living developments are real assets to MHA’s portfolio, offering a flexible alternative to residential care. We have a longstanding relationship with Castleoak and are very glad that together we can continue creating high quality retirement living with care for older people.”

Craig Currie, Chief Executive at Castleoak, comments, “Castleoak is uniquely positioned with our own in-house timber frame manufacturing operation to accurately control supply chain timescales and costs. We are delivering design innovations and build efficiencies that result in improved speed to market for our customers, without compromising on quality.”
