What would I be doing as a care home laundry volunteer?
You would be helping the laundry team as needed, supporting with basic laundry tasks. This could include, retrieving laundry from residents (including stripping and re-making beds) washing laundry, ironing and returning laundry to a resident.
What impact would I have?
These simple laundry tasks could free up another member of staff to help deal with ever-changing environment that the covid-19 outbreak has created in our care homes. As you can imagine, any help is greatly appreciated.
