Gardening Volunteers

We need people to help out in our care home gardens, creating a safe and calming environment for residents.

What would I be doing as a care home gardening volunteer?

You would be helping the maintenance team as needed, supporting with gardening tasks and general maintenance of the care home gardens.  

What impact would I have?

These simple gardening tasks could free up another care home colleague and also help our residents to enjoy their surroundings. 

 We’re looking for people who have the following skills and qualities:

  • Physically able to perform tasks required
  • Able to use your initiative and learn new tasks through online training
  • Able to multi-task or move from one task to another as needed
  • Well organised
  • Flexible, reliable, and punctual
  • Able to take instruction and direction
  • Understanding of the needs of older people
  • Enjoy working with older people
