Donating to MHA in your will

Are you able to help future generations live the very best later life they can and stay truly connected to their communities?

At MHA we understand how important it is for people to live their later years free from loneliness and isolation. And you will know, perhaps now more so than at any other time, how important staying connected to our communities is in helping people to blossom.
We’re experts at caring for the important physical needs. But we don’t stop there. We care about people’s minds and spirits too. Later life is, after all, as valuable and important as new life.

Why do people choose to leave a gift in their Will to MHA?

Gifts in Wills are another way of continuing the social action that’s part of many people’s spiritual life and broader values. These gifts have a long-lasting impact on addressing inequalities in society and make sure no-one is deprived of the care, dignity and respect they deserve in their later years.
Many people also tell us they find reviewing and looking back at life and all its many milestones important and healthy aspects of life. And writing a Will is a wonderful way to reflect our desire to look after loved ones and to make a lasting difference to the causes and charities that matter to us.

What do gifts in Wills to MHA make possible?

Gifts in Wills make up over two thirds of the income we raise from fundraising. Our ability to help people live later life well would be significantly affected without them.

  • With a gift in your Will, if people in later life need a nourishing meal, good company and activities that stimulate the mind, their local MHA Communities will be there for them.
  • With a gift in your Will, people living with dementia in our care homes can make connections to themselves and to others through our music therapy.
  • With a gift in your Will, if someone has questions about what happens when we leave this world, or just need a listening ear and time, our chaplains will be there for them.

“These times have really highlighted the importance of community and looking after each other, especially older people. That’s why I’ve left a gift in my Will to MHA.”
