This year, our MHA Sunday service was hosted by TV and radio presenter Pam Rhodes and was streamed on YouTube on 13 June. The service gave thanks to and celebrated our specialist care and support services - and our supporters in enable MHA to continue to bring hope and support to people in later life across England, Scotland and Wales.

If you missed the YouTube stream, you can watch the service back at any time on this webpage.

The theme for MHA Sunday 2021 is 'relieving isolation and bringing hope', inspired by the book of Mark 5:1-20, which is also the theme of Bible Month in June.

Our featured story follows Anthony, one of our MHA Communities members - our groups across the UK preventing loneliness and isolation. During the pandemic, Anthony began to lose confidence and became increasingly isolated. Our MHA Communities scheme manager Tanya supported Anthony and began regular walks with him, a great example of our colleagues' dedication to enabling people to live later life well.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is MHA Sunday?

MHA Sunday is an annual event where we encourage churches across Britain to hold a service to raise awareness of Methodist Homes (MHA), pray for those in later life and those who support them, and generously donate to support our charity.

When is MHA Sunday in 2021?

MHA Sunday is always the second Sunday in June. In 2021, it is on 13 June, however, as always churches are welcome to hold a service or fundraising whenever it fits with their calendar of activities.

Will you be hosting an MHA Sunday 2021 online service?

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2020 MHA held an online service for MHA Sunday for the very first time. We had such positive feedback from churches and individuals, we’ve decided to hold another online event again.

MHA Sunday Live with Pam Rhodes will be broadcast on YouTube at 4pm on Sunday 13 June. The event is hosted by Pam Rhodes and will feature clips from across MHA, songs and somme special MHA guests. You and your congregation are welcome to join us on the day or to feature our service in one of your own.

We have a limited number of DVDs showing the full service available. If you wish to receive one of these to play within your church service, contact us on or call 01332 221 641.

How do I order Gift Aid Envelopes for my service?

You can order MHA Sunday Gift Aid Envelopes for your church or circuit to distribute by completing the above form or call us on 01332 221 641 and we’ll be happy to help.

Gift Aid ensures that, as a charity, MHA can maximise gifts and claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated, enabling us to help even more people to live later life well.

All orders will be sent out after 8 March 2021.

I would like physical resources posted to me rather than download them, how do I request them?

To be more environmentally friendly, we’ve made all resources available to download on the website for you to print at home. These are available by filling in the form above.

However, in addition to the Gift Aid envelopes, we do have a small amount of MHA Sunday 2021 leaflets and posters we can post out to you for your service. Please email or call 01332 221 641 if you would like to request these copies.

Who do I contact about MHA Sunday 2021?

You are always welcome to contact us by emailing or calling 01332 221 641 for MHA Sunday enquiries. We aim to respond within two working days.
