Join us in celebrating MHA Sunday

MHA Sunday is when we come together and celebrate our charity Methodist Homes (MHA). It offers a time of reflection where we can pray for those in later life and those who support them as we raise awareness of our charity and everything we do. By hosting your own service, you will be joining thousands of churches in giving thanks and recognising the work of our specialist care services across Britain.

This year, our theme follows 1 Corinthians 12:12-27- ‘There is one body, but it has many parts. But all its many parts make up one body’. This explores how we need one another for our happiness, highlighting the importance of community and inclusion in making us stronger.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is MHA Sunday?

MHA Sunday is an annual event where we encourage churches across Britain to hold a service to raise awareness of Methodist Homes (MHA), pray for those in later life and those who support them, and generously donate to support our charity.

When is MHA Sunday in 2023?

MHA Sunday is always the second Sunday in June. In 2023, it is on 11 June, however, as always churches are welcome to hold a service or fundraising whenever it fits with their calendar of activities.

How do I order Gift Aid Envelopes for my service?

You can order MHA Sunday Gift Aid Envelopes for your church or circuit to distribute by calling us on 01332 221 641 and we’ll be happy to help.

Gift Aid ensures that, as a charity, MHA can maximise gifts and claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated, enabling us to help even more people to live later life well.

What can I expect my Gift Aid envelopes, leaflets and posters to arrive?

Gift Aid envelopes, leaflets and posters orders will be dispatched after 13 February and should arrive within 10 working days (Royal Mail strikes permitting). We welcome you to order your resources early to ensure you have everything ready to join us in prayer for MHA Sunday 2023.

I would like physical resources posted to me rather than download them, how do I request them?

To be more environmentally friendly, we’ve made all resources available to download on the website for you to print at home. These are available by filling in the form above.

However, in addition to the Gift Aid envelopes, we do have a small amount of MHA Sunday 2022 leaflets and posters we can post out to you for your service. Please request these on the above form or email fundraising@mha.org.uk or call 01332 221 641 if you would like to request these copies.

Who do I contact about MHA Sunday?

You are always welcome to contact us by emailing fundraising@mha.org.uk or calling 01332 221 641 for MHA Sunday enquiries. We aim to respond within two working days.

How do I donate or submit donations for my congregation?

Please visit our paying in your donations page for more information.
