Thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday 4 September to watch our virtual Memorial Day service.

During the service we took a moment to reflect and remember everyone who we have sadly lost during the pandemic. The day was to honour everyone who has passed away during this time, be it from coronavirus or not.

During the day, a special service was shown, including a message from our CEO and a hymn written by our music therapists, with two minutes’ silence at 11 o’clock. The service will remain available to watch on this webpage or the MHA YouTube channel.

The service provides a special moment to think about people we have known including residents within our homes and retirement living schemes, as well as people connected to our work through ‘Live at Home’. We also remembered MHA colleagues who have died this year.

We know this has been an extremely difficult time for our homes and schemes, residents, members and loved-ones. Families have often been unable to visit a loved one in person, and places have become quieter as community and professional visits came to a halt.

Thank you for all you have done and continue to do to make MHA a positive place for people to be supported in later life. As we make this memorial together let us show our support for one another.

As we gather to reflect with music and words, light and stillness, let us hold each other in our hearts and remember with dignity those who have died.
