Christmas Wishes
Christmas is a time filled with feeling of togetherness and cheer but for many older people, those feelings are replaced with ones of loneliness and isolation.
Other ways to get involved
Get into the festive spirit with ways to support our community this Christmas. Whether it's sending a heartfelt card through our Christmas Friendship Appeal, dedicating a decoration on our Tree of Remembrance, or making a donation, there are many ways to get involved and make a meaningful difference.
Join us in spreading joy and companionship to older people this Christmas, helping them feel connected and valued when it matters most.

Tree of Remembrance
Our Tree of Remembrance is a special way to honour loved ones you have lost. By dedicating a virtual decoration to their memory, you can celebrate their life while helping people to live the best later life they can.

Send a Christmas card to an older person
Join our Christmas Friendship Appeal and help tackle loneliness and isolation by sending a heartfelt Christmas card to an older person. Make a difference this by sharing the joy of Christmas with those who need it most.

Make a gift
Everybody deserves to live later life well. Your generous donations make this possible by creating meaningful experiences and supportive environments, positively impacting the way people live in their later years.
Give the gift of connection this Christmas
I decided to volunteer for MHA because I wanted to make a difference in my community, support people who might be feeling isolated or alone, and also meet somebody new because I'm really extroverted and enjoy meeting new people.
Befriending at Christmas is important as it is quite an isolating and can be a very challenging time for people, especially those who don't have loved ones or family who live close.
Eden, Befriending Volunteer
What I enjoy most about volunteering with MHA is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. The sense of community and the impacts we have together make my volunteer experience incredibly rewarding.
By offering companionship and a listening ear, befriending at Christmas brings warmth, joy and the sense of belonging to those who must otherwise feel forgotten, making the season brighter and more meaningful for everyone who involved.
