Most of us look forward to Christmas and spending time with family and friends, but for many older people the festive season can be a difficult time and this year will be especially challenging with essential social distancing measures in place.

That’s why at MHA we have launched our Virtual Christmas Friendship Appeal, you can make a real difference to loneliness and isolation for those in later life by sending a resident in our care a virtual Christmas card and message.

It’s as simple as one, two, three…

Step one:

Print off our Christmas message poster or make one of your own, these are completely optional but adds a personal touch to your photo.

Step two:

Take a festive photo of your family, community, youth or church group, friends or colleagues in Christmas jumpers holding your message poster or a beautiful winter landscape, your favourite Christmas tree; whatever you think will bring a smile to someone in later life this Christmas.

Step three:

Upload your images below with a short message and we will virtually deliver it to one of our residents in time for Christmas to let them know you’re thinking of them this festive period.

Deadline for submissions will be 10th December 2020, after this time we cannot guarantee your photo and message will be sent to a person in our care but we will do our very best.

Submission form will be coming in early November 2020 so keep checking back!
