Digital Communities

Welcome to our online community designed for you to enjoy a range of activities from home

MHA Digital Communities is an online community created for older people to enjoy from the comfort of their own home, community or care setting. Our virtual community is designed to support people feeling isolated or lonely through a variety of activities promoting social inclusion.

Digital Communities provides a range of live and on-demand video-based activities such as baking, exercise, crafts, quizzes, religious services, and more. To view an activity, simply click on the video of your choice below.

Prior to undertaking any of our exercise classes, please read our disclaimer.

Resources & Partnerships

MHA Digital Communities work in partnership with a variety of businesses to create resources that support older people who live independently in their own home. The resources vary from strengthening digital skills, understanding mental health & wellbeing and any additional support you may need in your own home.

Independent Age

MHA Digital Communities have partnered with Independent Age to provide resources which can support and guide you on a range of topics including finances, home safety and loneliness. Click on a video below to find out more.

Lippy People

Lippy People is a video storytelling charity that collaborates with people to affect positive personal and social change by supporting them to share their lived experiences, develop their video storytelling skills, and share the learning they have taken from the challenges they have faced. They have shared our members' stories through the Life, Loss, Learning and Legacy videos.

Smiling Sessions by Shapeshifter productions

Shapeshifter productions has partnered with MHA in sharing their Smiling Sessions - a series of weekly Singalongs, created as pre-recorded videos with on screen lyrics. The aim of the videos is to help reach those who may be feeling socially isolated and give them a reason to engage, sing and smile.

Our local MHA Communities schemes also offer one-to-one and group social activities to help local people aged 55 and over to live later life well.

To view upcoming activities in your area, please visit our MHA Communities social media channels using the buttons below or enter your postcode to find your nearest MHA Communities scheme.
