Many of our MHA Communities schemes are dementia friendly and provide specific services to meet our members’ needs.
At MHA Communities, we care about the well-being of older adults, especially those living with dementia. That’s why we offer a variety of dementia-friendly services and activities to suit their needs and preferences.
Our local groups and clubs help older adults stay active, engaged and independent. They can join, support or lead different kinds of groups, clubs and activities based on their interests and abilities.
We also have volunteer-led befriending services that provide friendship and support to older adults who may feel lonely or isolated. These include home visits, phone calls, cafe meetings and park walks that are all dementia-friendly and welcoming.
Our staff and volunteers are trained and knowledgeable about dementia. We help people with dementia live the way they choose in their own community for as long as possible.
Our dementia-friendly groups are an important way to help people with dementia live later life well.
