Registered Nurses (Nights) 

Working as a Registered Nurse offers you the chance to make a real difference in the lives of others. We’re looking for people with exceptional leadership skills and a passionate and caring nature with a proven ability to lead, motivate and mentor a team. 

As part of a committed care team working through the night, you will:

  • Provide support to members of the team and carry responsibility for the assessment of care needs and setting standards across the home
  • Be a natural leader and problem solver who has worked with older people and acted as a clinical mentor, including supporting newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship.
  • Produce care plans and detailed risk assessments
  • Need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration and a mentoring or supervision qualification.

As a Registered Nurse in a care home setting, you will look after the needs of the residents, offering person-centred quality care and really making a difference to the individual you care for. You will provide a safe and supportive environment and use your nursing experience and clinical knowledge to make the right decisions for residents.

Senior Nurses (Nights) 

Working as a Senior Nurse you will act as a clinical expert and advise, guide, and inform your care home team on residents' clinical needs to enable them to live later life well. You will assess the day-to-day care needs and supervise the delivery of quality nursing care.

As part of a committed care and nursing team, you will:

  • Support the manager by taking a leadership role during shifts
  • Be a natural leader and problem solver, acting as a mentor supporting newly qualified nurses
  • Produce care plans and detailed risk assessments

You will have a current NMC registration with an in-depth understanding of Infection Control, Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Mental Capacity, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Duty of Candour, Regulators, Police and Coroner involvement and other legislative processes.

Senior Care Assistants (Nights) 

As a Senior Care Assistant (Nights) at MHA you will lead and inspire a team of committed care assistants to provide the highest quality of care to our residents enabling them to live later life well. Duties will be varied and include supporting our residents with personal care needs and helping them to take part in a wide range of activities that support their health and wellbeing. In addition, you will administer medication and maintain clear and accurate records. Every day will be different and you’ll have the opportunity to use your leadership and people skills to make a real difference.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be passionate about caring for older people, have previous care experience and, as a minimum, hold an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care and be willing to complete level 3. In addition, you will have experience leading, coaching, and motivating a team to deliver high-quality care.

You will have a kind, warm and caring nature and be able to work well as part of a team but also use your own initiative. Patience, communication, and listening skills are equally important. Maintaining accurate records, time management, and prioritizing tasks will also be strengths. Care Assistants (Nights) 

We’re looking for naturally compassionate people who can help us deliver exceptional care. We need individuals who are ready to assist and look after the physical and personal needs of the older people living in our care homes. This role all is about being committed to the wellbeing of each resident, looking after any complex needs with real sensitivity.

As part of a dedicated care team working through the night, you will:

  • Develop and review individual care plans for residents and provide personal care in line with them, enhancing the residents’ physical, emotional and spiritual well being
  • Undertake the role of a key worker with a group of residents, engaging in both routine and social activities with residents throughout the day

Though previous experience is desirable, the right approach and willingness to undertake full training is far more important to us. You will be part of a team that believes in respecting every resident as a unique individual, treating them with the dignity you would wish for yourself.
