There is good roadside parking for relatives and visitors to the home, and spacious front and rear gardens for anybody who enjoys a quiet sit or stroll in the fresh air.
Respite care at Rushden Park
Respite care, also known as short-term or short-stay care, is a temporary living arrangement at a care home. It gives both carers, and those being cared for, a bit of time off and a chance to recharge their batteries.
At Rushden Park, we offer residential and nursing respite care. Everyone staying with us for a respite break will receive personalised care, tailored to their individual needs. They’ll have their own furnished room and be encouraged to take part in the life of our home and the many activities on offer.
Activities and events
Our Activities Coordinator creates a balanced schedule of optional events and ensure a variety of activities to empower residents to explore their interests and discover new ones. We offer music therapy for residents living with dementia, as well as a variety of sessions including reflexology, armchair exercises, choir, gardening, baking, flower arranging, arts and crafts, bingo, quizzes and church services. We also have a dedicated chaplain at Rushden Park.
Chaplaincy and pastoral support
We are proud to be supported by a dedicated Chaplain who offers pastoral support to all, whatever their beliefs. The chaplain provides a listening presence, companionship and one-to-one pastoral support for all residents, their friends and relatives, and staff members - irrespective of their beliefs - and organise worship for those who wish to participate. Where appropriate, residents are encouraged to maintain links with local faith communities.
Seize the day – unique and memorable opportunities
Funded through charitable support, every MHA care home also prides itself in being able to offer unique and memorable opportunities and activities for residents to quite literally help them 'seize the day'.
