At Riverview Lodge care home in Kingsbury, we provide residential and residential dementia care for 36 residents, in homely, en-suite accommodation.
It’s a wonderfully calm and welcoming space, where our passionate team deliver personalised care in a warm, supportive and safe environment. We also offer short-term respite care.

Respite care, also known as short-term or short-stay care, is a temporary living arrangement at a care home. It gives both carers, and those being cared for, a bit of time off and a chance to recharge their batteries.
At Riverview Lodge, we offer residential and dementia respite care. Everyone staying with us for a respite break will receive personalised care, tailored to their individual needs. They’ll have their own furnished room and be encouraged to take part in the life of our home and the many activities on offer.
Where are we?
Riverview Lodge is situated in a quiet residential area off Blackbird Hill in Kingsbury, northwest London. There is a beautiful shared garden that overlooks a stream and adjacent church land, with ample parking space. There is a Local shops and Wembley Park tube station (Metropolitan line) are a short walk away.
Award-winning music therapy
Our care home in Kingsbury is committed to providing alternative therapies such as music therapy to help alleviate isolation and the symptoms for those living with dementia. Our trained and award-winning therapist is funded by charitable donations. They interact directly with residents through live music therapy sessions. This includes singing, playing simple percussion instruments or responding to musical cues in a one-to-one or group setting. Chaplaincy and pastoral support
Riverview Lodge is proud to be supported by a dedicated Chaplain who offers pastoral support to all, whatever their beliefs. Our chaplain provides a listening presence, companionship and one-to-one pastoral support for all residents, their friends and relatives, and staff members - irrespective of their beliefs - and organise worship for those who wish to participate. Where appropriate, residents are encouraged to maintain links with local faith communities.

The home is built on three floors, which are served by a lift. Each floor has its own lounge and dining area. There is a range of specialist baths and showers on each floor to offer comfort and privacy when bathing.
We have a mix of room types, including rooms with a full en suite wet room and others with an en suite toilet and sink. We also have some rooms with lovely garden views.
If your loved one enjoys catching up with the latest news, sport, chat shows or soaps, we can provide a TV in their room on request, and there’s WiFi throughout the home.
We encourage our residents to furnish their own rooms as they wish. This could be as simple as hanging a couple of their favourite pictures on the wall, but they’re also welcome to bring their own comfy chair, or anything that makes them feel at home. The most important thing is for everyone to feel comfortable, happy and settled.
Our residential care is all about providing a special kind of home from home. It’s our way of making sure your loved one continues to live life to its fullest and remains as independent as possible. It means they can get out and about when they want to, catch up with friends or pop to the shops, but with the added security and peace of mind that comes from knowing 24-hour support is available if they need it.

Mealtimes are an important part of the day here, giving our residents the opportunity to get together and enjoy freshly prepared food in a relaxed restaurant-style environment. We always offer two meal options and our chefs will happily prepare something special if nothing on the menu appeals.

We choose the people who work with us very carefully. They need to share our values and respect people, their life experience and personal choices.
We take pride in the cleanliness and maintenance of your home and provide a thorough and friendly cleaning service. Your personal washing will be carefully laundered and returned to you, clean and fresh.
We have close links with GP surgeries, district nurses and dentists. We also provide regular gentle exercise sessions and reflexology. Our in-house hair salon keeps everyone looking their best and uplifting visits from local schools keep us all young at heart.
