Age

MHA is working to ensure that the workplace is an enjoyable environment for all colleagues, volunteers, and the older people we support.

Our workforce 2022-2023

The majority of the workforce is aged between 45 and 64 years and this group accounts for 48.04%. The group can be broken down further into those aged 45-54 who account for 24.02% and those aged 55-64 who also account for 24.02%. The two age bands accounted for 50.1% of the workforce in March 2022.

The 18-24 age group is significantly underrepresented in the workforce and accounts for 0.2% of the workforce. MHA has taken the decision not to recruit people aged under 18 years of age. However, MHA has committed to undertaking initiatives such as work experience and apprenticeship programmes aimed at attracting and giving young people development opportunities in the Charity.

There are no significant concerns for age at MHA
