Join us in celebrating MHA Sunday 2024

9 June 2024

MHA Sunday takes place on 9 June and we look forward to coming together to celebrate the power of friendship as we reflect on Mark 4:30-32, the Parable of the Mustard Seed.

This years theme, befriending
This years theme, befriending

This year, our patron Pam Rhodes will introduce us to Dot and Grace, whose friendship began with a simple gesture of conversation. Together, we will pray for those in later life and those who support them as we think about the impact a small action like conversation can have in making later life something to be both lived well and celebrated.

Meet Dot & Grace

Dot and Grace have nurtured a friendship through MHA's befriending service. Our patron Pam Rhodes was there when they met for the first time.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is MHA Sunday?

MHA Sunday is an annual event where we encourage churches across Britain to hold a service to raise awareness of Methodist Homes (MHA), pray for those in later life and those who support them, and generously donate to support our charity.

How to get involved

If you are a Minister or other worship leader in your church and would like to hold an MHA Sunday service please complete the form above to access a full range of resources, including a suggested order of service, the MHA Sunday video, sermon notes and even a fully written sermon, if you are short of time. If you are a congregation member, then speak with your Minister, Steward or whoever plans worship.

To be more environmentally friendly, we’ve made all resources available to download on the website for you to print at home. These are available by filling in the form above.

However, in addition to the Gift Aid envelopes, we do have a small amount of MHA Sunday leaflets and posters we can post out to you for your service. Please request these on the above form or email fundraising@mha.org.uk or call 01332 221 883 if you would like to request these copies.
