MHA Sunday 2026
Bring your church or faith group together to support older people across Britain.

By holding an MHA Sunday Service you'll be supporting older people to live later life well.
MHA Sunday is a special opportunity to come together in celebration of the life-enhancing work of MHA and to affirm the inherent value, dignity and worth of older people in our society. It’s a time to give thanks and raise funds for MHA’s charitable services.
By hosting a service, you’ll help fund chaplaincy, music therapy for people living with dementia, and befriending services that bring comfort, connection and a sense of belonging to older people across Britain. For many, this support can mean the difference between loneliness and feeling part of a community again.
MHA Sunday also invites churches to reflect on the growing and changing needs of older people, and to explore how the Church can respond with compassion through practical action, volunteering and advocacy.

MHA Sunday - bringing services together
MHA Sunday is an annual event where places of worship across Britain come together to support MHA and share prayers together.
Year after year, MHA Sunday sees many of our friends and supporters up and down the country returning to celebrate, pray and raise vital funds for MHA's community programs.
Together, on MHA Sunday we'll:
- Raise awareness by holding services to highlight the important work of MHA
- Pray for the well being of older individuals and those who care for them
- Collect donations to support the charity’s mission.

The Second Cup Loneliness Appeal
At MHA, we're working to end loneliness for older people across the UK with the focus of this year's MHA Sunday being in support of our Second Cup appeal.
Through our befriending services, we connect isolated older people with someone who listens and visits regularly. A friendly face or voice on the phone. A relationship that reminds someone they matter.
