Each flat contains its own bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom, and is designed for
single or double occupancy. Each flat is also fitted with an individual alarm system that ensures help is available at the pull of a cord. It is a system which, as one resident puts it, helps offer “peace of mind, living without fear, independence amongst many other blessings.” They also note: “My sanity has been recovered thanks to moving into a MHA Home.
Ash Court is situated half way between Wandsworth and Clapham Commons, and was named after a local man, Frank Ash, whose daughter opened the Scheme in 1984. Mr Ash had served the surrounding community for many years, and through their relationship with the adjacent church, current residents benefit from the life and variety of that same community.
Ash Court residents enjoy weekly church coffee mornings and write enthusiastically about coach trips arranged jointly by the congregation and Ash Court.
