MHA Help with leaving a gift to MHA in your will

Help with leaving a gift in your will

We would always advise you to have a professionally written, up-to-date will, it’s the only way to ensure that the people and causes that you care for are looked after in the way that you wish.

It’s easy to do

Making a will is straightforward and once you have chosen a qualified professional they will be able to help you every step of the way. Just be sure to have an idea of your assets and be clear about your wishes.

There are three main options for your gift:

Residuary gift

The remainder or part of the remainder of your estate once all of the other gifts have been made.

Pecuniary gift

A fixed some of money. Due to inflation over time the value of these gifts can be reduced although this can be avoided with appropriate wording.

Specific gift

A specific item such as a piece of jewellery, furniture, land or buildings.

Keeping your will up to date

It is advised that you update your will every five years to make sure that it reflects your current personal and family circumstances.
