60 Places for Nursing Care, Dementia Nursing Care and Residential Care

This modern home was purpose-built in 2000 and became part of MHA in 2011. With 60 private single rooms, en suite facilities and shared spaces that include kitchenettes and lounges, Willesden Court is a place where every resident enjoys comfort, privacy and dignity, while also being able to enjoy company and friendship.

Here, individuals with dementia and nursing care needs are encouraged to express themselves. Our highly trained staff members take the time and care to get to know each resident, talking to them and their families about their likes and dislikes and personal backgrounds and stories, in order to be able to provide the person-centred care that lies at the heart of MHA’s values.

We aim to ensure that residents’ preferences are met in every aspect of their daily lives. For example, our multicultural setting is reflected in mealtime menus, which include Caribbean and vegetarian options – enabling individuals from any background to continue to express their cultural and religious identity as they wish after moving in. Similarly, the full activity programme is resident-led to make sure that residents pass their time in the way that they would like.

MHA regards physical and spiritual needs with equal importance. We are committed to providing alternative therapies such as reflexology and music therapy, which do much to enhance the well-being of residents, while our Chaplain offers pastoral support to all at Willesden Court, whatever their background and beliefs.

In these and countless other small ways, we help nurture the well-being of all our residents, continuingly encouraging fulfilling relationships and positive experiences.

I have been coming to this care home to visit a relative for at least two and half years. I find the staff very pleasant and helpful and have no faults directed to them, quite helpful whenever I ask a question regarding my mother and what's in place. Well done to all the staff/carers in Willesden Court. The only thing I must add is since I have been here the manager has not shown any interest in why/where I am here visiting!? Doesn't seem at all interested in the patient which doesn't add up since another manager!!

I can't thank Willesden Court enough for the wonderful care that was given to my husband. My husband passed away in June 2016 and I continue to visit. I'm made so welcome and everyone makes a fuss of me. I have given a donation to the home and a lovely snowman was purchased and placed in the reception area. He was even called after my husband. Today I have come to place a plaque on the tree in the wonderful garden. A place of peace and tranquillity.

Every time I visit my aunt I find her feeling happy, care for and safe. The residents and staff on the first floor (residential with nursing) have a wonderfully relaxed relationship which creates a warm and homely community spirit. The management team are always available and willing to provide information and updates, nothing is too much trouble. Photo boards are used throughout, it is a lovely way to share activities with residents friends and families. I always leave feeling reassured that my aunt is well cared for and safe, these were her priorities when we first discussed moving and she will tell anyone who asks she enjoys living at Willesden.

I really like living here. I'm treated with respect. I am really happy with my room. I can have visitors and see them in private. I'm treated gently. I am listened to. The food is good an there is choice.

When I came to Willesden Court I was in poor health and walking with a zimmer frame. Since my admission I made a fantastic recovery by the wonderful care I received and encouragement of staff. I am now fully independent and can now run around unaided. I would highly recommend Willesden Court as the home does really promote independence and encourage active living. Its home from home.
