MHA Working in Partnership with AgeVentures India
MHA has formed a partnership with Age Ventures India (AVI) to develop retirement communities for older people in India. AVI is a Trust with charitable status founded by the President of HelpAge India; the Trustees are nominees of HelpAge India. They have identified a need for accommodation, support and care for older people; just as in Britain, people are living longer and families are increasingly dispersed.
MHA’s role in the partnership is to input our knowledge and experience to the design of care and accommodation services for older people; and thereafter to the operational aspects, particularly delivering care and support services, management and staff training, systems and quality assurance. MHA may assist with marketing one or more of the services here in the UK.
Each retirement village will have the following facilities:
• Spacious self-contained apartments
• High dependency rooms
• Care and support services on site
• Medical links with a reputable hospital
• Communal dining areas
• Library, music room, arts and craft rooms
• Auditorium
• Physiotherapy / fitness room
• Links to educational institutions for continued learning
AVI are currently working on projects in Gurgaon, Bangalore, Vishakhapatnam, Kolkata & Jaipur
