Roger Davies, Group Chief Executive
Roger is Chief Executive of MHA Care Group, a not for profit organisation providing care and accommodation services for 12,500 older people. MHA operates throughout Britain providing Care Homes, housing and support services, with a particular emphasis on enabling older people to live a fulfilled life. He has been Chief Executive since 2001.
Roger began his career in the hospitality sector, firstly in general management and later qualifying and working as an accountant. From 1989 he has worked in the
not-for-profit sector, for two top 100 charities, both of which serve people in need, and an NHS Trust before joining MHA.
Roger is a non-executive Board Member of English Community Care Association and is a member of Ashbourne Methodist Church.
Rev. Dr Keith Albans, Group Director – Chaplaincy & Spirituality
Rev Dr Keith Albans joined MHA in September 2001. He is responsible for spiritual and pastoral welfare of the staff and service users within the organisation and maintaining links with the Methodist Church and the wider church.
Keith has been a Methodist Minister since 1984, serving in York, in Birmingham as University Chaplain and latterly as Superintendent Minister in Sheffield.
Carol Artis, Group Director – Operations, Care Homes
Carol is responsible for MHA’s Care Homes. Carol joined MHA on 1 April 2005.
Carol entered the healthcare sector fourteen years ago as the financial controller of a small group of nursing homes then moved to an operational position. This company changed hands and Carol was appointed to the position of Director for the Elderly care homes for four years, until she was appointed Director of Care Homes with the responsibility of three hundred registered care homes across the UK.
Jane Barker, Group Director – Strategic Partnerships
Jane is responsible for charitable fundraising, the development and new business programme and commissioning new services.
Prior to joining MHA in 1999, Jane worked as Operations Director for a large Housing Association with responsibility for care services, development activity, housing management and community regeneration. Jane is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. She worked previously for another Housing Association in housing management and community development roles and two large City Councils.
Lorelei Jarvis, Group Director – Operations, Housing and Care
Lorelei has worked in the social housing sector for 25 years; she has headed up sheltered and supported housing for Housing Associations across the country. She has also worked for the National Housing Federation and for a major consultancy firm providing specialist support to providers and commissioners of supported and sheltered housing.
Lorelei joined MHA in June 2008 and is responsible for the operational and strategic management of MHA’s sheltered housing and housing with care.
Anna Marshall-Day, Group Director - People and Corporate Affairs
Anna is responsible for communications, payroll and personnel. She is the lead on policy and research and ensuring that legal and statutory requirements are met in relation to governance.
Prior to joining MHA in 1998, Anna worked for local government, with roles in marketing and project management. Anna holds a BA (Hons) degree in Humanities.
Paul Milner, Group Director - Finance
Paul is responsible for all Finance, IT, property development and maintenance within MHA. He joined MHA in 2001.
Paul initially worked for a leading national firm of Chartered Accountants which included secondments to New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He has 10 years experience in the care sector becoming Financial Controller for a listed nursing and residential care provider.
Stephen Reynolds, Director of Service Improvement
Steve is responsible for the quality of MHA's services and takes the corporate lead for complaints, the Care Team and MHA’s Live at Home initiative. He joined MHA in 1999.
Steve has specialised in care of older people for the past 30 years in various social work and management roles in Local Authorities in East Anglia and London. He is a qualified social worker and his experience includes operational management, policy and development, and as Head of Inspection for a London Borough. Prior to joining MHA, Steve ran the Care Homes of a large Housing Association.
