Situated in what was Scotland’s first “new town”, the accommodation consists of 27 flats in a two-storey building and six bungalows, altogether capable of housing up to 44 people.
The Scheme was opened in 1981, a year designated International Year of the Disabled and MHA was able to announce that two flats were specially designed for, and occupied by, residents with physical disabilities.
All the flats are unfurnished, allowing residents to bring their own possessions with them and to create their own sense of “home”.
